Ahemfo Radio, a division of Ahemfo Media was initiated when a group of Montrealers realized the need for our voices to be heard. The discussion started over a Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Mr & Mrs Tawiah of Laval. We wanted a name that will reflect the diversity of our country and it’s culture
Of all the considerations, chief Taincy came out as an institution that has stood the test of time and is relevant to all the tribes, from the north to the south, and from the east to the west.
Our logo is the “ Akofenata “, the double edge sword. The President of Ghana takes his oath of office with the “Akofenata” to signify impartiality, fairness and justice. At Ahemfo Radio we will respect all views and promote fairness hence our adoption of the double edged sword as our logo.
Ahemfo Radio promoting diversity through cultural, social, ethnic, professional, and educational programs. We are committed in planning, developing, implementing and streaming branded programs and services to meet the needs of our communities.
The radio forum will primarily be a platform for:
• assisting cultural associations to create an environment that understands, respects and appreciates multiculturalism;
• promoting and teaching of our rich cultural values to our children who are caught in a cultural limbo;
• debating on issues affecting the motherland and how best we can contribute in it’s governance.
